Over mountain-tops lightning dances and the wind howls through gorges, trees, kisses the lone man facing the wall of rain.
He is kinetic, throbbing with love and fear, the storm's energy around, inside, illuminating him. He gazes down the dirt road, this vein connecting his small place, the world, him and hope. He sees dust, thinks it is the wind.
It's a car coming fast. Rain gallops behind.
The car stops, then it's a flurry of raindrops, feet, arms around each other, mouths hot against rain-cold faces.
"You made it," Viggo whispers.
"Yeah, mate." Sean's voice is rough. "I did."
