Hollywood has made the line "I love you" one of the cheesiest lines in any movie. They say it all the time and never really mean it. And even the ones that mean something, sound trashy because everybody and anybody can say "I love you" and still not mean it.
So thats why Viggo never actually says "I love you" to Sean. Instead, he goes around it, tries to express it through the way he signs his notes on the fridge with Danish endearments, and the way he plays with Sean's hair after making love, while softly nibbling Sean's throat.
Summary: "I Love you" - cheesiest line ever? Viggo thinks so.
