Looking up, a fork of bacon and egg halfway to his open mouth, Sean watched Viggo spreading jam on his French toast.
The slow care with which Viggo painted the gold-tan crust with the brighter colour, his head to one side, regarding. A mindless knife-holding hand dipping into the dish for more paint, lifting and laying it a three-dimensional fairy mountain on one corner. A breath of satisfaction, the tongue slipping out to moisten the curving lips, still plump from Sean's kisses.
Then the sweet smile at Sean, grey-blue eyes warm. Sean grins back round his cold forgotten forkful.
