Viggo had the piano today, as Sean was making the mince pies. He had the door open between the two rooms so he could see Viggo sitting there, miles away, his fingers just twiddling gently, rippling up and then discovering the lower keys. Chords roamed, Viggo's head leant forward as he watched without seeing, just hearing the notes drifting like dust in the winter sunshine. There was such a peace here.
Sean smiled into his mincemeat jar. This was the life he wanted, the life he had now. He rolled the ball of pastry within his hands, making his world.
