Sean walked into the hotel bar and there they were. His surrogate family, his band of brothers, his friends for life. The Hobbits and Orli greeted him with wild exuberance, Ian and John with more restrained joy.
He had missed their fellowship after he left and they went on to new adventures. He felt like he had come home from a long exhausting journey.
But something wasn't quite right. And he didn't know what it was until arms wrapped around him from behind and a drawly American voice said, "Welcome back, Sean."
Sean turned and saw the man he had missed the most.
