Sean didn’t like seeing green and growing things transplanted to the house. “The garden’s the place for plants and flowers”, he demurred, but Viggo noticed he never actually removed them. Just as he, in turn, allowed Sean the mess and bother of a real fire for them to snuggle in front of, and the indulgence of the picture of his great-grandfather’s Yorkshire home over the mantel.
Yes, give and take was what it was all about, and as long as Sean continued to give, Viggo knew he couldn’t help but take. Oh, and give a little in return, of course.
