The two warriors climbed to high meadow on the side of Mount Mindolluin. The sun was blazing and warmed the late spring air. The men embraced, slowly at first, but then a fever took them as they fell on each other, pulling off clothes and kissing wildly.
Soon the mountain air resounded with fierce cries that were echoed by the hawks drifting on tumbling air currents. Later, the green-eyed blond man wove a circlet of flowers and crowned the darker man with them.
"This is for you, in all your glory," the blond said.
"I love you," King Elessar replied.
